I envy you your clear-cut. I catch ones who paraphrase each other sentence by sentence, but that's not cheaty enough to come down on them for it.

I imagine I have some of those, too, but man. This one. I mean. How he thought he /wouldn't/ get caught blows my mind. 1) The writing stands out as really different and 2) We didn't talk about this shit in class!

No clue - I didn't bother to google the rest, but I'm pretty sure at least a page and a half (of 5) straight out of the Encyclopedia, a couple different articles.

Oh yeah, and it's not /subtle/ plagiarism. They're totally hung. It's just a question of what the prof's policy on this is. What's sad is that this is a kid who I /know/ he's put in a lot of extra effort for, helping him with this very paper. Which he plagiarized.
